  On our backpacker budget there hasn't been much room for 'luxury' and while Cauca wasn't the Ritz, we were thrilled with the setting and comfort that came with pushing the boat out a little further on spend. The grounds are beautiful - zen-like almost - and the rooms provided a good bed, decent shower and high standard of cleanliness.   This was our favourite place out of the dozen or so we stayed in during our month in Brazil. Our room - with two balconies, a hammock and a private bathroom with a hot shower - was immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, you could borrow DVDs to watch in your room and also flippers and masks for snorkling.
