A historically listed Georgian town house dating back to 1830, Courtland is situated in William Shakespeare’s hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon. It is 5 minutes’ walk from the theatres and the coach station.
Each morning, guests can enjoy an award-winning breakfast of bacon, eggs, pastries, kippers and porridge cooked to order. Fresh fruit, yoghurts, and cereal are also available. All ingredients are fresh and locally sourced.

The hotel was very lovely and the bed very comfortable. The lady that
greeted me was very helpful with directing me to places to eat and enjoy
a drink after a play (make sure you ask for directions to the Dirty
Duck, not the Dodgy Duck as I did as that can cause much amusement).
Breakfast in the morning was wonderful and filling. There is parking
next to the hotel but you need a ticket that the staff will provide so
you need to find a park down the street first then get the ticket. wszystkie opinie »
Everything about Courtland was excellent. Parking was conveniently close by and Stratford centre is a couple of minutes away on foot. The bed was super comfortable and towels were replaced daily. The breakfast selection was good and the cooked part was very nicely done. We would recommend it as a good base and providing comfort and a nice breakfast. The choice to take either a shower or bath in our en suite was good.
It was a pleasure to stay at Courtland. Very convenient for the town and the RSC theatre - about a 5 minute walk. A comfortable bed and a friendly welcome with a fine cooked breakfast in the morning. I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for comfortable, convenient accommodation close to the RSC and I look forward to staying here with friends when I come back in September.
Location, location, location!
Everything you want to see in Stratford upon Avon is walking distance, less than half a mile away. Can't be beat.

Place is clean, Hostess is helpful and friendly.
You can buy a GBP3 24hr street parking permit from hostess (limited number available, call in advance to reserve).
Courtland is a very comfortable and well located b & B. Good sized
room with all that you would expect. Easy check in with a wealth of
information provided which proved very useful. A 2 night stay that was
enjoyable for us all. Would recommend this b & b to anyone and would
definitely use again.
The breakfast was generous and sumptuous. Besides the cooked full breakfast which was delicious, the host was also generous with the fruit, breads, cereals, juices and yoghurt.
The location was great too. It's just a short walk (less than 5 minutes) from the city centre.
Very welcoming and friendly and with good local knowledge shared about restaurants and sites to visit and things not to bother with too. The hotel is superbly located in the heart of the town and directly opposite Shakespeare's birthplace. We will use it and promote it.
Really well run B&B, the owners are lovely & very informative! The place is spotless & breakfast was yummy! Location is in walking distance to the town & public transport. The theatre is worth a visit & also in walking distance!.

The location is perfect, you are right in the centre of the town but, on a road that is not noisy at night. The Hosts are warm and welcoming and breakfast was delicious. The choice of toiletries and in-room hot drinks was very good too!.

great location just a short stroll to town..very nice owner with time for a chat and to let us know the best places to go .and the best night sleep we have ever had in a hotel (due to luxury bed} will be going back again :).

The location for getting in and around Stratford-Upon-Avon is brilliant. Your so close to town. The 'heads-up' on the decent restaurants was well experienced. The breakfast has a lovely finish to a great stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was given a map and told the best places to explore, best cafes to dine and best walks along the water.
From the greeting upon arrival until the goodbyes at the end of the stay everything was superb and I recommend the Courtland without hesitation.
So convenient - just a short walk into the town and so near the theatre.
Allowed me to arrive early once I was tired of shops and sightseeing.

Only thing that was a little awkward was that I needed to pay up front
which was fine however at the time I had a 20kg backpack on plus 2 other
bags in my hands and it was a little difficult to juggle. I'd
suggest maybe allowing people to put their stuff down in the room first
before sorting out the finances. No negatives.
Fairly small rooms, but adequate. Front street is somewhat busy and noisy. Try to get side street room (room #3) which is quiet.
Only one minor gripe and that was that the shower could've had a bit
more ooomph behind it.
The property does not have free off-street parking. Nonetheless parking lots along the street are easily available. Just got to pay to park.
