Situated in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon, Emsley Guest House is a Victorian property just a 5-minute walk from Stratford-upon-Avon Rail Station. It is just half a mile from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and offers free Wi-Fi and free private parking. Guest bedrooms at Emsley House are all individually decorated and some rooms feature original oak beams. They are all equipped with an en suite bathroom, a Freeview flat-screen TV and a DVD player. From the minute we arrived until the morning we left for our train, the Emsley was one of the true highlights of our uk visit. Ray, Melanie and Hayley make you feel like family. The breakfast was outstanding, the room wonderful, the towels fluffy and very fresh smelling. It is on a street only minutes walking with luggage to the train station...believe me, we could have stayed and enjoyed 15 more minutes and still been early for our train to London...and 10 minute stroll to Shakespeare's Home, .
wszystkie opinie » I booked online from New Zealand after doing a Google search. We stayed in the Warwick Room which has 2 single beds & 1 double bed. We originally booked for two but had extra party with us on arrival.. However there was no extra charge for the extra person and this included an extra breakfast at no extra charge. We also arrived a couple of hours early but this was no problem & we were welcomed in plus given a pot of tea and biscuits. Very good location as it is very close to the Stratf. The rooms are outfitted with down comforters, a lovely sitting area to enjoy coffee or tea in the morning overlooking gardens, walk-in shower, high end bathroom amenities, The rooms have modern furniture and gorgeous wallpaper. The breakfast room is outfitted with linen table cloths and flowers and each person's breakfast is cooked to order and absolutely delicious! Added to that the graciousness and helpfulness of the Emsleys to ensure you maximize your experience in Stratford upon Avon. Thi. Very friendly and helpful hosts. The proximity to the station and town centre was very convenient for a traveller without a car. Melanie's breakfasts were wonderful and Hayley couldn't have been more helpful in acquiring local travel information. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the atmosphere of Emsley House was restful. Ray was a perfect host and suggested places to visit outside of town as well as restaurants and the overall experience was like home-away-from-home. I would highl. Hosts Ray and Melanie were very helpful in managing our luggage, the breakfasts were the best I had during my holiday and I was delighted with the accommodation. My only complaint (observation, really) would be that the en suite bath (shower, rather) was very small, but that's what you get in a renovation of a Victorian terrace house that formerly served as nurses quarters for a hospital. The guest house was nicely decorated and well located for the center of Stratford-upon-Avon. Overall, a gre. Ray and family were attentive and helpful. The facility was in good repair and attractive. They made dietary accommodations and breakfast was always delicious. Staff provided information about local attractions and made phone calls for us to facilitate booking activities. We felt like valued guests. Within a 5 min walk to main city attractions and close to main roads to country side attractions. Good eating places, night club and pubs for people how also enjoys the night. Lovely shops if you can spare extra-cash. Breakfast is lovely and so is the family who runs the place. Ray, Hayley & Melanie, were so friendly & helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them. We were shown to our room & given a tray of freshly brewed coffee & home made biscuits (Perfect) The bed in Gloucester room was huge & very comfortable. Recommened. Ray was very personable and helpful, gave a great recommendation to a fab Italian restaurant, Sorrento, which became the best meal of our whole trip. Great breakfast in a charming dining room. A lovely stay at a lovely B&B! Good breakfast, comfortable/clean room and a warm welcome. Very much appreciated being able to choose breakfast the day before (good gluten-free options) and the homemade biscuits left in the room for us were delicious. The accommodation was top class, clean and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. The bed was extremely comfortable every night I had a good sleep. As a lone traveller I felt very safe and secure there. Owner was very nice. He gave us a valuable discount coupon on Shakespeare sites and recommended a great restaurant, The Windmill. Location was conveniently close to the train station and within walking distance to all of the Shakespeare sights. Location very convenient to main Stratford highlights. Whilst a small room it was quiet. Excellent breakfast and helpful family team. We stayed in 20 B&B's this trip and rate it with the better ones 8.5/10. We were made to feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was clean and very comfortable and breakfast was delicious! We would definitely come back and recommend it to our friends too. Only my stay was too short and I wish my partner had been with me. Would have liked a sitting room where we could read or have a cup of tea after sightseeing. Nothing. Nothing to dislike. Nothing. Nothing specific. The stairs to the 2nd floor were steep. We were in the only room that had not yet been refurbished and while it was cute and cozy, the beds were not as comfortable as they could have been. The room and bathroom was a bit small but clean and well decorated. The shower - on the first evening it wasn`t much more than a trickle;the next morning it alternated between freezing cold and unbearably hot. We were informed of the potential for problems, but the reality was worse than I`d anticipated and is the reason for only a "Good" for "Facilities" A shame, since everything else was great. Nothing. The stairs were very steep but luckily we were on the lower ground. We can't think of anything we didn't like. No complaints. nothing. nothing. Not a thing. Nothing.
