  It was very comfortable with a pleasant ambience. A plus from our point of view is that it is a country hotel and therefore quiet with ample parking space. The meals were excellent.   The character of the hotel had been carefully preserved in the recent refurbishment and the quality of the furnishings etc was superb. When we had a problem with the air conditioning in our room, one of the managers Sam McCoy was very apologetic and ensured we were moved to a higher grade room as there were none available of the same grade.
