Very clean, beautiful linen on super comfy beds, and lots of lovely touches. Big China mugs and a teapot, soft dressing gowns, useful stash of "forgotten to pack" items, iron, mineral water and a little box of mints. I didn't eat breakfast, but others who did said it was very good. My evening meal was excellent although a bit expensive.

The hotel / pub was excellent. We stayed in room 5 which overlooks the sea views. The room was large and had everything you would need for a short stay. If you like to go on walks along the cliffs and come bac - I really liked all of the lovely friendly staff especially the manager she was absolutely lovely and really made us welcome I wished we were staying longer at that point , they were amazing with my daughter and my boyfriends son and great with our dog. Really understanding.

much enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend Foxhills to other travellers. A particular pleasure was James and Paula's suggested "Round the Isl - The hotel was in a great location for Shanklin, it was clean very comfortable and had a fantastic breakfast collection. James and Paula were very helpful as well as organising our ferry travel they also had a handy pack in the room with local walks and island attractions, they also requested guests to review where they had eaten, this certainly helped with our decisions. Overall a fantastic place and would stay again if ever on the island.

absolutely worthy, the owner of the place is lovely, i really felt at home at oaklands... if you're planning to go to the island, this is the place to stay, best quality for money - nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors - they even ordered good weather for our stay!!! My room had a great view of the harbor, the staff was very friendly and they made it easy for me to check in as soon as I arrived even though the staff wasn't on site at the time. I room was big with large ensuite bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.
