  I loved the carpet in the restaurant for breakfast, there must be some very thick underlay under there! The choice for breakfast to was fantastic though I do think they cut one fillet of smoked haddock in half and shared it between the two of us! Though it was lovely. The fact the hotel was dog friendly (on the ground floor and in the bar) was exc... hva folk sier » ellent. The hotel itself is beautiful on the outside set in a stunning location and the entrance hall, bar and restaurant is beautifully designed. I d - We stayed at The Old Rectory for the last night of the Green Man Festival at Glanusk Park. After 3 nights of festival camping, anywhere with hot water and a flushing toilet would have been luxurious, but our room (number 14) was fantastic. The room was large and very nicely laid out. The bed was extremely comfortable but the real show-stopper was the bathroom - complete with a huge shower and a whirlpool bath! The room was spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
