  We only used the hotel as a staging point for a trip, we were made very welcome, the room was very well appointed, and the breakfast faultless...   The staff were excellent couldn't be more helpfull. Very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great with varied options, the owner feeds the birds and we were able to watch them while having breakfast and were lucky enough to see a woodpecker.   Wow, what an amazing hotel, as we took the turn off to the hotel Rufflets appeared in all it's beauty exactly as the picture depicted on the net, it was stunning. The grounds were maintained to a very high standard and the room was decorated superbly. This was our favorite hotel of our month long trip to Europe and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to explore St Andrews, a car i - The size of our room was wonderful with a lovely bathroom, king bed and plenty of electrical outlets (often missing in other hotels). The breakfast buffet was fresh and well stocked and there was a nice choice of entrees for a hot breakfast. There was optional turn-down service and shortbread cookies to enjoy with coffee in the room; WiFi functioned very well (also uncommon in other hotels).

  Location. Beautiful house. Quality accommodation - wonderful bathroom ! Home produced breakfast. Nice touch to provide us with a 'packed' breakfast to take to the golf course. - Beautiful house, well cared for with excellent and very friendly service. Great food and conversation.
