  This ryokan is certainly out of the way but between 2pm and 5pm you can have a free pickup from the Fujisan station about 15 min by car away. You can also go by the regular Fujikyu buses. It is a small ryokan and not very spectacular as far as ryokans go, but it certainly has a welcome and homey feel to it which easily makes it an excellent option... hva folk sier » to stay at. The dinner is top-notch and absolutely worth the price tag, make sure to order it. You can make private use of the inside bathroom in the - the host family was welcoming and friendly, the lady was even speaking english properly. great experience to be welcomed in a really traditional japenese-style accomodation (ryokan). food, freshly prepared by the host (and chef at the same time) was georgeous!

  The staff was very accommodating and the rooms were great for the price paid. Ohashiso is a little off the beaten path, but it's in a nice, quiet area with an amazing view of Fuji-san when you walk out the front door.
