we had no choice but booked a family room (2 nights) good for 5 people but we were only just 2 adults with our 15 month old since no better hotel was available during our trip. it turned out a great choice because it was very spacious and clean and cozy. my lil toddler love running around. will booked same hotel again if we ever get back to Kyoto next time. worth money spent with good breakfast delivered to our room every morning. :)

My sister and I stay for 8 nights and we loved the place. The staff is extremely helpful and nice (even if they have problems communicating in English), the fact that there is a common place with fridge and that you get tea and water for free and even croissants for breakfast, the cleanliness the rooms and how central the location is. We highly recommend this place for people who want to explore Kyoto and surroundings for a few days.

A lot of people were saying about no wifi in the room but if you ask the staff at reception they will give you a modem for your room to use, free of charge! this was another bonus since i thought they only have wifi in the lobby. -
