The staff was lovely, kind, and unfailingly helpful. They were able to direct me to every place I needed to go. The subway station is three blocks away with a five minute ride to Kyoto Station. The bus stop in front of the hotel will get you to most of the major attactions.

We were looking for a typical and traditional Japanese ryokan, and we found it. Great experience! Rooms are big and comfortable. Even though they don't speak good English, staff is helpful and friendly. It's located in a cool and quiet little street, but very close to an animated block and subway stations. Free wi-fi. The house and the "Kura" or old warehouse have been reformed
with taste. The surrounding of the house (japanese garden), the wooden
(cypres) bath, the whole of the facilities are amazing. You feel at home
but in the Japanese style. It is unforgettable. We will go again. Better
stay during the week than week-end (price) but it remains ideal to visit
Kyoto. We recommend at least 2 nights to really enjoy the house !
