The hotel is in a perfect location - right opposite the Kyoto station. The station itself is an excellent place for shopping and eating. In front of the hotel is the bus station, which has the buses that will take you to all the sights in Kyoto. Basically, the location of the hotel cannot be better.

Excellent American-style service (ie. help with luggage, staff always ready to assist), plus an incredibly good location, VERY close to station! They had everything we could ever want at the Inn. Such as towels, a variety of dishes, tourism pamphlets, coffee maker, bottles of water, shampoo and condition, dishwasher, washer and dryer! We didn't need to bring anything other than ourselves and our clothes.
It was very spacious for 5 people!
There was lots of English around to help us use the appliances!

The elderly manager spoke English very well, provided us with maps and
gave very good advice. The hot bath was wonderful after the long day and
it was big enough for us both to strech. Toilet also on the corridor,
but surprisingly it didn't bother. The place is small enough, that
there were no lines. Sink in the room was a nice surprise. Great bus
connections to all major sights.
