  When booking on the internet often what you see is not what you get. I am delighted to say that the Hotel Okura, Kobe certainly met with our expectations. The room despite being configured as a triple was still very spacious. It was well appointed and spotlessly clean. The panoramic view from our room was beautiful both day and night. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone consid - Large room for being Japan, luxurious, great amenities - you don't need to bring any supplies, great view from our room on the 24th floor. The location is good for accessing nearby Harborland for shopping, and also just a few blocks away from the high-end shops towards Motomachi. Shuttle bus to/from central station (Sannomiya) was very convenient. We stayed for a week and got a great price - back home we wouldn't even get an average business hotel for this price.

The area is Rokko Island, wiped out in the 1995 Kobe earthquake, so everything there is new. If you want to stay in an up scale hotel in Japan and don't have much cash, this is the place.
