  We chose this location to take day trips from in the Dordogne region. While the city of Souillac has been hit hard by the recession, this lends to an excellent value in this amazing hotel. The building is from around the 12th century but has been updated and maintained meticulously. There was an amazing true French fresh breakfast which was an awesome way t - Lovely old building, tastefully furnished, incredibly friendly people and comfortable beds. It's right in the centre of old Souillac just minutes from the motorway which makes it my favourite stopping place on the way south. I love waking to find the weekly market setting up - one of the best markets anywhere in France.

  We recieved a warm welcome from Eric and Veronique. They were extremely helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. The typical french town square setting was perfect and there was a good selection of restaurants nearby for dinner. Having booked "blind" via the internet we were really pleased with our stay at the Pavillon Saint Martin and would happ... hva folk sier » ily recommend it. Breakfast is extra but worth it - We all loved this hotel - the owners, the rooms, the location all perfect. It was definitely the best hotel on our trip. Highly recommend, and also the restaurant opposite is an excellent choice for evening meal.
