  The situation, madame's welcome and attentiveness, especially in regard to explaining the excellent menu. The accommodation was very sutiable for us (my wife is partially disabled, but can manage stairs) In all an excellent staging post - A bit dated but clean. Friendly staff.

  The La Marine is the best value hotel outside Paris we have stayed in anywhere in France (which we visit at least twice a year). The restaurant is outstanding (and excellent value for money), the breakfast likewise, and the staff are always courteous and helpful. The best countryside roads for walking and cycling behind the beach a few kilometers from the hotel. - Beautiful location quite close to large, nice harbour offering opportunity for good long walk.   We had a wonderful time in Chambre No 1 - with balcony, view on the river Seine, much space to feel like at home - big bathroom and very big room to enjoy the day even if it rains outside.   I had a ground floor room overlooking the nice garden which was ideal as I was traveling with my dog-who was made very welcome by the charming owner! The room itself was fine (v comfortable bed), clean and the bathroom more than adequate. The food in the restaurant was first-rate with a good wine list. Note the restaurant is not open on Monday nig... hva folk sier » hts though there is a surprisingly good take-away pizza place a few metres away on the main street. - Made very welcome. Room had a veranda, lovely as weather was good. Plenty of parking spaces. Next to river, lovely but lots of flies - spray delivered to room.
