Made to feel that you are welcome and not just another guest by Ed and Ineke from the moment that you arrive. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for 4 nights in the apartment which was far bigger than we expected. Bedroom large, kitchen enough facilities to be self catering if you wished. We were offered the option to eat with Ed and Ineke

The staff and general atmosphere was amazing. The owners, Ed and Ineka were incredible hosts as were their friends, Vim and Ingrid. You felt as though you were staying as guests in their home. Nothing was too much trouble, even offering to pick us up from the airport and babysitting our children. They also kindly waived the fee when we had to cut short our stay at the last minute. We stayed one night after a long drive and everything was perfect; instructions were good, old farmhouse with large room, cool and comfortable (it was 29 degrees during the day). Pleasant hosts, excellent advice about where to eat in Bergerac, excellent and relaxed breakfast.

The friendly and helpful staff and the beautiful gardens withsunloungers. Also liked the fact that the "a la carte" menu wasapplicable for "demi-pension" (not the case at other establishments) andthe breakfast was terrific with a buffet selection. A charming hotel with very friendly staff (thanks Veronique). We were well looked after for our two night stay and the rooms were large and very clean. A very tasty continental breakfast was available as was a TV lounge and residents lounge, complete with a well-stocked and reasonably priced bar. -

We had 3 nights at Le Ferme de Grand Jean in the 3 bedroom converted barn, with our 2 children aged 4 & 9. Our hosts were lovely, welcoming & helpful. The barn was full of interesting features, well equipped & comfortable. Our 9 year old daughter even managed to arrange her first ever horse ride at short notice during our stay! -

The staff went out of their way to be helpful and accomodatingespecially in relation to the children - Beautiful location. Contrary to other reviews on this site, the staff was extremely friendly and pleasant to us. We were ready for an ogre and were received graciously.

The hotel was small, clean and pleasant with the bonus of a swimming pool. The staff were excellent, especially when we arrived during a festival and couldn't park. One of the owners sorted this out very quickly with the local security. The situation is excellent, right in the town centre with immediate access to restaurants/cafes/shops etc. W

Good sized terrace overlooking the street or could have a balconied room to rear overlooking pool area.
