  The hotel was not open until 16:00 but that is as described in the information supplied. I just forgot! Laon is a lovely place and it was a chance to stroll around and have a beer in the many bars and soak up a few rays. The desk was manned by a delightful and very helpful young man who could not have made us more welcome. He showed me to the park... hva folk sier » ing area which is a little tight space wise so you may need someone to guide you in. Clearly 17th Century gates were not designed with cars in mind! T - This is a gem of a hotel. The proprietor, Matthieu ensures a very warm welcome and clearly has great pride in his hotel. The 18th Century building has been lovingly restored to retain all of its original features and provide an ambience that feels like time dilates as you step inside. Clean, well priced and charming, one of the most enchanting hotels I've ever stayed in
