  I could not fault this hotel. It was great value for Paris. It's not luxury, but it had everything I needed. The water was always hot. The room was well heated. Everything was spotlessly clean. Excellent location - 5 minute walk to the Metro and surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops.   Within 1/2 block from the Bastille Metro stop - great when you have luggage. Easy access to the Metro line running to and from Charles DeGaulle airport - minutes by Metro to all Paris has to offer.   I stayed 12 nights with my son and grandson. Although we were 3 males we thought the hotel suited our requirements exactly. It was clean, convenient to "life", the metro, walking and some nice restaurants. Mr Didier and Isabelle together with Lenka at the front desk and the other staff made us very welcome and helped us when we needed it. We were very well attended, even when we realize that the announcement was booking with items that do not exist in the hotel. For example, with bath. They justified that was incorrect information and we provided one of the breakfasts as courtesy. I recommend it strongly.

Rooms are small but clean, and staff is extremely friendly and forthcoming. Metro stops Ambroise and Voltaire are within 3 minutes walking distance while place de la Bastille is a mere 6 minutes away by foot. On your way to Bastille is the lively Rue de la Roquette with plenty of nice little restaurants and bars.

It is easy to access the Seine and other places of interest. We especially enjoyed the Jewish quarter and the falafels.
