  Very welcoming and willing to accommodate a group of 14 high school students and two teachers. We arrived late morning and we were able to leave our cases in our rooms even though they had not been completely prepared at that time. The beds were very comfortable with crisp white linens.   Great place to stay, breakfast really good and plenty of it. Very accommodating for family's. Lots of hot water and room/whole building very warm. Area very close to Paris Nord 10euro taxi ride or 15 min walk. Metro in Paris not very kind to strollers if traveling make sure you take at 'quicksmart' or small stroller. 15 min walk to Notre Dame, als... hva folk sier » o 2 playgrounds within 5-10 mins walk. - Location was good for our purposes with easy access to the Metro and train stations. I very much appreciated the tiny balcony with the view of Montmartre - especially at night. The staff were cordial and helpful.

  It turns out the General Hotel was overbooked, so they rebooked me into another hotel, member of the same chain, Le Quartier Bastille. The room was (for Paris and this price point) spacious and clean, the amenities fine. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Overall my experience was very good. - Very good location.   Very nice hotel. Nicely decorated room, comfortable bed, delicate bathroom, friendly staff. We had our baby with us, and the hotel offered a baby cot free of charge. Also, the location is great. Just around the corner you have Place de la Republique with several good places to have breakfast / brunch. Our favourite was Café de la Republique. Also,... hva folk sier » only 10-15 mins walking distance to the shopping and bar/cafe area in Le Marais. We even walked 25-30 mins to Montmartre. I.e. this is a good locatio - The staff were really helpful and were happy to put our stroller in the cloak room each night so we didn't have to struggle with it in the tiny elevator. Also we had left a small item behind and they were happy to post it back to us. The rooms are small, but it was enough for our little 18 month old to roam around and stretch his legs.   Room was beautifully designed and lit, bed was very comfortable indeed and the staff were incredibly helpful. Breakfast was great too - all in all a brilliant place to stay - First time in Paris a hotel room is that big! Really luxurious feeling and comfortable. Also wifi worked properly, fats and reliable. Not used to this.

  The room was compact but there was everything you needed including lots of space to hang clothes. The breakfast was really lovely - lots of choice and a variety of fresh products. The location is fantastic - you can get all around Paris easily from Republique metro. The room was very clean and the shower was great. The room was very quiet. The attitude of staff was most helpful as well. Cleanliness was tops, and a nice change from some hotels I have found in the past. All in all, everyone did all they could to help me during my stay. Also for someone who isn't a good sleeper, the quietness of the hotel was most pleasing.
