The HM hotel is an excellent choice to those are going to Marseille. It is close (walking distance) to the train station and much of the turistic points in Marseille, as well as to the Old Port, where the ferry boats depart to the small islands that can be seen from the city (and deserves a visit of 1 day of full walking). It's a beautiful hotel, well-located near the Vieux Port. Our room was front facing, so had a tiny but lovely wrought-iron balcony overlooking the street. The room was clean and simply but nicely furnished with wooden shutters on the wall.

1. Design and freshness, room equipment. The building was renovated. Everything is fresh and rooms are small, but not seems so a cause of smart design. Teapot helps save money for breakfast and supper. Towel electric heater helps to use fresh towel on the beach everyday.

The hotel was very comfortable and centrally located. The staff was great as well as the breakfast. Lovely room, very comfortable, yet on the small side, but all that was needed. My room was extremely quiet, did not hear anything at all, perhaps because I was on the top floor. Was surprised that it was so quiet because I was on the front side of the hotel on a very busy street

Perfect location right in the city center, great view, spacious rooms (this is France), there is an elevator to the 5th floor (we lived on the 6th). The apartment has basic kitchen amenities, hairdryer, iron an ironing board, coffeemaker, everything mostly new. Cafes and supermarket are two doors down the street. Metro an bus stations, too. -

The double room with en suite was immaculately clean and it had a very comfortable bed. The air conditioning worked very well. The staff were lovely, very helpful. Internet access was free. This hotel is located in front of the historical steps of SNCF station. You can enjoy beautiful steps if you don't mind to bring with the baggage.
