Staff very friendly - The room and ensuite were newly refurbished in an interesting arty style and bright colours, which I liked. The room seemed so new, as if I was the first person to stay in it! Hopefully it will age well. The hotel is in a sidestreet, so not too much traffic noise, but very convenient for Gare du Nord.

I fortunately stayed for 4 nights in large, clean and well equipped double room with also large and clean bathroom with bathtub that was provided by helpfull and friendly hotel receptionists who speak English very well. Everything was perfect and I really enjoyed my lovely 4 nights stay. - The price was fantastic, the staff was extremely friendly

We enjoyed our stay at Ibis Lafayette very much. Location is excellent - just a mere moment from Gare du Nord in a quiet side street. I imagine it may be a bit far from the centre to some people but the metro is just 2 min away and it will take you to Louvre in 10 mins. The location is fantastic. I flew into CDG, caught the train to gar de nord and then the hostel is a very short walk up rue de dunkerque. Then further up the street is the pigalle and sacre couer just above that.
Breakfast was good, plus there are supermarkets on the same street and you can cook your own food at the hostel. Wifi is free, staff are friendly.
If you're prepared to accept that it's a budget option and don't expect the ritz it's a great choice. I fully intend to return.
