  The location was great - a short walk from Gare du Nord, close to many good budget-minded cafes, and incredible jazz clubs. The view from the sixth floor (i.e. seventh) was wonderful. The staff were extremely helpful, and put up with our poor French (although some of them could switch into English). Free internet was great! Close to a couple of metro station. 2. Excellent staff - helpful, friendly, English-speaking. When we had to leave earlier, the receptionist himself served us breakfast with just-from-the-bakery croissants and baguettes. 3. Public kitchen is a good thing. 4. Rather nice facilities for the money, good beds, nice breakfast.

  The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was someone on the front desk 24-7. The rooms were a decent size, with a good shower room, and were very clean and in good condition. We stayed on the quieter side of the hotel - we were offered the choice - and the noise really was minimal. Also, during our stay the other guests were quiet. Very good location, around 100 meters away from Pigalle metro station, which is just a handful of stops away from Gare du Nord. Turn left when you leave the hotel and go up the hill and you are in Montmarte, lots of nice cafes and bars, in a typical Parisian setting. A 5 minute walk away from Sacre- Coeur.
