Friendly staff at the reception gave suggestions for visiting the old town. Old town can be reached by foot. (20 min walk, only one main road to cross, cars actually stop at pedestrian crossings, unlike further south in France)
Motorway exit nearby, room still quiet and clean. -

This place exceeded our expectations which is very rare. We were thrilled with the service we received. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were fantastic and made the whole experience great fun (assisted us to overcome our fears not knowing the language). Buildings and rooms were of excellent quality. Food was very good; pricey but then so is all Ile de Re. Very good fish.
The reception staff were very nice, so were the junior waitresses.
Nice position but the beach is not a really good one. Rocks too near the edge. -
