  The views of downtown Boston from the B&B are fabulous. The location is great - close to the t stop making Boston very accessible and near a great running trail and kiddie playground. Fabulous food - cookies at 4, tea and coffee any time, and a homemade breakfast. Nice sitting room with tv, internet and books with views overlooking the ocean a... wat mensen zeggen » nd city. The owners, Maggie and Joey, were very personable and accomodating as we have 2 young children (ages 2 and 4). - Lovely old property in a very pretty spot, accessible by public transport from Boston ( the bus drops you off right outside). The view is also stunning. Magpie is a wonderful host, attentive without being overbearing and the food is excellent. She is also very good at giving full and detailed information on how to get to the B&B in advance. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

  It is such a cozy haven with little nooks to hang out and read a book or sit at a fire pit. It is historically fascinating what they have accomplished in transforming the row houses. I hope it inspires others not to abandon existing historical buildings. Loved the hot cookies in the lobby in the evening.   We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean however could have used some different curtains to darken the room for sleeping. The kitchen staff, ( wish we asked her name) were excellent and went out of her way to make sure everyone was happy. In fact so much so, that we wondered if she was the owner. The food and amount of same was great... wat mensen zeggen » ! We would return!! And the location was just a minute walk from the beautiful Kennedy Walking and biking trails. - The fabulous staff, from the innkeepers , including the chef and housekeeping made you feels as you were guests in their home. We plan to return many times. Everything was tastefully done. The breakfasts were gourmet. Above the 5 star hotels I have stayed in around the world

  What a delightful stay! We were there for 3 nights as we explored 'off season' Cape Cod in October. The inn is beautifully presented with lots of vintage and period features and furniture that give it a really lovely feel. Room & bed were comfy, and relaxing to be in. The attention to detail was also great: cider/coffee and cookies on arrival... wat mensen zeggen » (and also in the afternoons); a welcome note on our pillow; Hot water and water cooler available at all times etc. Staff were super-friendly and help - This was our second time staying here and we plan to come back again. They have a friendly staff and they offered to upgrade us to a nicer room free of charge (perhaps because it was off season). I love that you can control the heat in your room and it is silent heat. They have free breakfast, which they didn't advertise on the letsbookhotel.com reservation. It's a warm and charming place.

  This was our second visit to the Shaker Mill Inn. Since our first visit, it is under new ownership and better than ever! Our room opened to a deck with a beautiful lawn and woods beyond. The complimentary wine was such a nice touch.
