  I loved how friendly and helpful the staff were, the complimentary breakfast was delicious. Our room was updated,modern and clean. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were awesome!   Hotel 140 was a great place to stay for me. I was traveling alone and it was located just a block from the train station. The front desk was great to help me in directions of the city. Very friendly staff. Also after I left and was at the train station having a hard time figuring out which way to go, a young man asked if he could help. He was not at work and I did not recognize him so he could h - Hotel 140 is located only a 5-minute walk from the rear exit of Back Bay Railroad Station. Upon arrival I had taken the train from Springfield, MA. I followed the drive where the local buses pull into Back Bay Station right out to Clarendon Street and bore left. I had just a half-block walk from that point to the front entrance of the hotel. I discovered that the hotel had upgraded my single room reservation to a Queen size bed (and more spacious room) at no extra charge from my original re

  This place was just lovely. It was truly 'friendly'. The location was perfect. It was like staying in my childhood home, with more privacy. The shower water was hot. There was plenty of heat. I will recommend it to others. - Of all the hotels I looked at near Harvard, it was most reasonably priced. The area is very expensive though. Included continental breakfast and Internet, which many others did not.   I loved this hotel and have stayed in many. There is a shuttle that brings you to major stops in Cambridge. Super convient and arrives after five mins of calling for only 5$ a day! There is a nice lobby and this is close to Starbucks and Trader joes so no breakfast included isn't a huge loss. Comfy rooms. Nice staff.
