  The room was much more than I expected for the price, was very impressed. We enjoyed our stay there very much, and right in middle of boardwalk, awesome! And the staff was exceptionally friendly and curtious! - Crystal Sands was extremely clean, staff was courteous and I was surprised at how well this motel was maintained for the price!   Art the owner was the BEST! My sons had the best senior week ever. Once Art knew I was a stern, watchful but caring mom. He was very nice and helpful to my boys. Too bad the room two door down did not have parents that taught them manners. At the end of the stay he called me and thanked me for having respectful young men I my family. I wish I could give ten stars however this hotel is worth much more - Great location - couldn't be better, not too close to the noise from the fun-fair on the boardwark, but right on the beach and with a wonderful view from the large balconies at the end of the house (not from the rooms).   I got a great deal booking the hotel on line, the staff was very nice, I traveled from Nashville, Tn to Waldorf on a bus and ended up getting to the hotel 4 hours before check in , there was a really nice woman at the front desk that promptly got a room ready for me so I would not have to sit the lobby, not to mention I had a pretty view and a ove... wat mensen zeggen » rall pleasant stay - It was a better experience than I thought considering the number of negative reviews. My room was clean, had flat screen TV, mini-fridge and microwave. I definitely would stay here again.

  the price was excellent, the rooms wernt the ritz but they were sufficient. the pool was really nice. and it was close to everything(Phillips across the street,boardwalk a block away,mini golf 2 blocks away, fishtails like a half block away. plus there was the party block real close and a beer distributor within 2 blocks) - The staff was very fri... wat mensen zeggen » endly. We basically only slept in the room. We didn't spend much time there otherwise. I like that it had a sink, refrigerator and microwave. I also liked that cable was included. The hot water worked (very hot, loved it). It is also at a great location & it was super cheap!

  The staff was very cordial and helpful. Our air conditioning unit failed during our stay and upon calling the desk, a maintenance person came complete with a new unit to replace the broken one. It took only about 10 minutes total. Hotel has some wear and tear (it is old, like most hotels in oc) but overall clean. We didn't spend a lot if time in our room anyway. The size of the room (we had two double beds only) was average. It took us less then 2 minutes to get right on the boardwalk and beach. It's a little less congested on 18th on the boardwalk which we loved. It's very convenient for families with kids too. - It was close to the beach area, the café shop with the hotel served gluten free meals and healthy foods, you accommodated us by giving us our room side by side which was great for my family, the location was great being near CVS,a catholic church, and Dunken doughnuts. My family wants to make this a yearly vacation since this is the first time we went together as a family and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
