  We stayed at the cottages, which are down the street from the actual hotel, but within walking distance. It was a wonderful week, beautiful grounds, extremely quiet. There are plenty of activities on the property to keep one occupied....great gym, beautiful pools, boating, shopping and restaurants.   The great rate helped as perceived value provided a positive reaction.The ambiance was luxury hotel in a small setting - friendly, all the amenities you could ask for in a mid-priced hotel, natural setting among trees and fountain-centered water feature. I actually appreciated the open atmosphere here - no hovering staff! Everything was easily accessible without requi - The rooms were comfortable. The breakfast was good; included an assortment of breads, muffins, cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, a waffle machine to make your own waffles, and fresh fruit. Coffee, tea, and juices were included. The hotel is walking distance to the beach, but the hotel provides a shuttle service 10AM-12-2PM-4PM. Also close to the Mercato (restaurants and a movie theatre) and to 5th Ave.
