  It was immaculate and the owner could not have done enough for us. We had a pet collie with us and this was not a problem at all and we occupied the ground floor accomodation. The owner even directed us to dog friendly restaurants nearby which was very kind.   What a find! I can honestly say this is one of the nicest b&b's we have every stayed in. From the lovely warm welcome and delicious homemade scone to the lovely clean and nicely decorated room and extremely comfy bed. The owners could not do enough for us and made our stay very pleasant and little chihuahua was made most welcome too. Also give The Coffee Beans a try just a min or two down the road...excellent food & - We arrived to a lovely warm welcome from the hosts John and Gillian, we were shown to room 2 on the 1st floor and we were not disappointed, the room was tastefully decorated,spotless and the bed was lovely and comfy. The breakfast was very nice with a vast choice of fresh fruits and cereals followed by a delicious cooked breakfast served by john, the friendliest host we have ever met. We are already planning to return in a few weeks as it was such a nice place to stay. Thank you mark and sue.

  I loved everything about my stay at Sylvern House, The owner was so friendly and helpful from start to end. Breakfast was amazing 3 courses and it was so filling and made me and my girlfriend ready for the day ahead! Neither of us had any problem with our room or any other part of the stay. I would very much like to say a great big thank you to Richard and Vicki for running such a beautiful bed and break - Fantastic breakfast which was cooked to order as given a menu sheet to choose options the night before. Informative folder in the room full of useful information about the local area such as directions, things to do and restaurants etc. Well stocked tea tray in room and owners very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

  Very friendly proprietor, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms very spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious. The area where the hotel is situated is easily within walking distance into Scarbrough town centre or seaside but is in a quieter part which means that you can sleep peacefully. I would definitely recommend this hotel ... wat mensen zeggen » to family and friends and would return again myself. - I liked the location as it was near the beach, sea and beautiful gardens. It was free of the noise and bustle of the north side of Scarborough. The breakfast was very nice. I noticed they used quality bacon because it wasn't full of salt, the room was as one would ave expected for the price - big, nicely deorated an clean.

  I highly recommend the Tall Storeys, Mauna & Ian the owners are a really lovely couple and made our stay really enjoyable. We stayed in room 4 which had a marvellous view of the harbour. The room had a four poster bed and it was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is to die for and can not fault our stay in shape or form. It's the best B & B We've ever stayed in!!!! Nothing was too much trouble .. We asked for a taxi number to ring one for the evening and Ian (Proprietor) said don't bother I'll take you to where you want to go to ... excellent ... Children are especially well catered for, as they have every imaginable farm animal in the fields near the house, plus dogs, rabbits, a ferret and certainly one or two I've missed.   The guest house was perfect for me mum and sister, had a girls night away. 5 min walk to the open air theatre which was great,as we had a concert in the evening with the north Beach just round the corner , place was clean but basic which is all we needed, and Marrianne the owner was friendly and welcoming could not do more for you , recommend thi... wat mensen zeggen » s venue if u want a clean and friendly atmosphere , perfect to rest your head after a long day out thanks Marrianne - We liked everything. The friendliness of the welcome (makes a big difference), the room (spotlessly clean), the location (lovely stroll to the beach or town) - all perfect. We've stayed in a few places in Scarborough and this was easily the best. Next time we'd like to stay for a week.
