The hotel is charming, beautiful, clean with a staff that is so helpful
and welcoming. They provide champagne and chocolates upon arrival.
Additionally, they helped us with our boarding passes. They are right in
the Plaka district within walking distance to many of the attractions.
Loved it. And, I purposely left a pair of sneakers there and when I
returned home there was an e mail letting me know that I had left
them....and they wanted to know what I wanted them to do with them. Very

The Athos is located within walking distance of the Plaka area and the Acropolis as well as the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Arch...we are walkers but this is easy walking. If you can get a room on the 4th floor you can get a spectacular view of the Parthenon from your window. Either way the view from the roof is just as beautiful.. The shopping streets are close by too, as well as lots of good eating options.

location in the Plaka was convenient. We were able to walk most places
and did not have to use the metro much at all. From our room the wifi
was weak, but we could use a neighboring hotel's wifi and it was a
good signal. We didn't eat the breakfast so I'm not sure how it
was. The fridge in the room was not already turned on, so we had to turn
it on. It was helpful to have an aditional mirror outside the bathroom

It is a small boutique hotel that is conveniently located between Syntagma and Monastiraki square. We stayed in the Loft Suite and absolutely loved it! John is a good host, very helpful and easy going! The view from the Loft Suite terrace (with hammock) is amazing; you can see the Akropolis from your chair! The house has a great design, is very clean and beds are comfortable; we felt at home immediately. In the small kitchen coffee, tea and jams are provided.
