  I was lucky enough to have a room with a view over the beautiful river Loire, with the bridge illuminated at night and the general beauty of Saumur on display. We booked at the last minute, so we didn't have much of a choice of rooms so, unfortunately, my friend got a room at the back of the hotel - which, although very comfortable, had a far les... cosa dice la gente » s inspiring view (I would like to say, in my defence, that she lives in France and volunteered to take the short straw, being more able to visit Saumu - As mentioned in a previous review, we wondered about the stairs problem but don't know what the fuss is about - we are both in our mid-60's and didn't find the stairs at all difficult. Anyway, the very helpful manager insisted with helping with luggage. There is plenty of public parking at very little cost immediately outside the hotel and the location is ideal for exploring the centre of Saumur on foot.   Recently refurbished. Room was smart with excellent en-suite. Restaurant food was very good and good value too. Breakfast excellent at only €7.5 Staff friendly. - The hotel is within easy walking distance of the station. The staff were wonderful. The room was clean and well organised.

  We are a family of 4 and booked the quad room. It was fantastic, a separate room for the children with their own tv!! Large clean bathroom with shower and large balcony with an amazing view across the town to the castle in Saumur. We only had a stop over on our way South but still managed to spend most of our time in the pool!! Dinner & breakf... cosa dice la gente » ast were both served on the terrace by the pool and the food was great. - We stayed here last year on our way home from holiday and enjoyed it so much decided to come back,it did not disappoint, the staff are very friendly, the receptionist even recognized us from last year. We had a studio this year which was very roomy with a little kitchenette with fridge which was very handy, the food is beautifully cooked & presented. We will be coming back next year.

  The staff were just so nice and genuinely welcoming and helpful. Even though check in wasn't until 2, they let me leave my heavy bag there so I could go off and see what I wanted to see - it was very very very appreciate!
