  I was lucky enough to have a room with a view over the beautiful river Loire, with the bridge illuminated at night and the general beauty of Saumur on display. We booked at the last minute, so we didn't have much of a choice of rooms so, unfortunately, my friend got a room at the back of the hotel - which, although very comfortable, had a far les... cosa dice la gente » s inspiring view (I would like to say, in my defence, that she lives in France and volunteered to take the short straw, being more able to visit Saumu - As mentioned in a previous review, we wondered about the stairs problem but don't know what the fuss is about - we are both in our mid-60's and didn't find the stairs at all difficult. Anyway, the very helpful manager insisted with helping with luggage. There is plenty of public parking at very little cost immediately outside the hotel and the location is ideal for exploring the centre of Saumur on foot. The food in the hotel is perfectly adequate - as in any Logis - and there are plenty of

  Recently refurbished. Room was smart with excellent en-suite. Restaurant food was very good and good value too. Breakfast excellent at only €7.5 Staff friendly. - The hotel is within easy walking distance of the station. The staff were wonderful. The room was clean and well organised.

  The hotel is being renovated and our room was brand new. It was large and very comfortable with a king-size bed. The hotel is in a quiet area near the river and just a few minutes drive from a large shopping centre with a nice restaurant. There is a large enclosed yard for parking. - friendly, caters for cyclists and secure bike shed.   Monsieur and Madame Dalac were wonderful hosts, making us feel at home. They helped us with arrangements for visiting places and with reservations. The hotel was conveniently located to the historic center of Saumur; it was clean and charming.   My self and family stayed in this great hotel,the room was very clean,the swimming pool was fantastic .We had a meal in the hotel it was fantastic ,we have never had such amazing food and wine the staff were so friendly ,we are planning our next trip to the hotel and we will be taking friends. - All people very helpful and friendly.
