  After living in crowded, dirty and run down hostels for 4 months I decided to take a break between travelling and stay in my own room with bathroom for 2 nights. It was heavenly! Room nice and cool (with good air conditioner) and 'dark' for sleeping which tops my list for a quick, relaxing, - The Motel had everything I needed. It was close to Roma St. Station and easy walking to and around the cbd. It was air conditioned, had a comfortable bed and good shower facilities. Everything I needed. Top marks to the staff, very courteous.

  The location can't be beaten if you want to look at the city. We had the trains and buses at the door and only a block away from Kurilpa Pedestrian Bridge which gives access to the Southbank with only a 10 min walk. The staff were friendly and obliging. This is a great spot to explore from. We enjoyed being almost across the road from Rom - The first time I stayed at Abbey apartments I booked a superior room but it was absolutely disgusting. Shocking! So this time I asked to make sure I really had a superior room as each time I paid extra for it. This time my room was lovely. Great value for money. Lovely furnishings, dishwasher, dryer,and washing machine. I appreciated that the improved things for me this time. I liked that the heating and cooling was so easy to control and fab location.

  A couple of things could do with a lick of paint here and there, but we were entirely satisfied with our stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, very hot water and lots of it. Nice to sit on the balcony. Everything we needed was within a short walking distance. Docs, hospitals, banks, eateries, and the city.   Cleanest and most modern hostel I've ever stayed in. The place has clearly been renovated/upgraded recently and it's lovely. I was really impressed. The room ac had heat and cool, which is apparently rare in Australia where most ac usually only cools a room. The restaurant was very well priced (eating out is always expensive in Oz) and the food was very good. - The service from Peter the manager was excellent. When we arrived there, my girlfriend was ill, he made a couple of phonecalls to doctors free of charge. When we got back at the hostel, he saw that my girlfriend was still not feeling better, so he upgraded our double room to a better room away from all the noise from the reception. Thanks a lot for this excellent service Peter and the rest of the staff!

The accomodation was very clean & cost was good for us& even though it was close toYHA & Backpackers acc, it was not Noisy. - Its an old 1877 cottage what you would expect. Easy self check in and out. convienant location.Budget and cosy. Easy walking to city and surrounds.

  We had a very spacious 1 bedroom apartment with a beautiful river view. The balcony came out from the entire width of the apartment with doors from both the bedroom and living room. I loved the doors which could be pushed back to include the balcony in the living space. Proximity to the free City Hopper ferries was great for transport. - The apartment was lovely, great views and we were up graded as we flew in early in the morning, and needed to get in to sleep, the manager was very helpful, and let us in early, and gave us a late checkout.
