  My room is 306, the room is clean, tidy and pretty quiet too. I like it very much! The reception ladies are friendly and helpful. But only one person to serve in the evening time seems under pressure.   Great place. If you're looking for somewhere to party & have a laugh then this is the place. Stayed in a four bed room with an ensuite shower & toilet which were cleaned everyday. Staff were friendly & helpful along with the tour desk. The club though is brilliant!! Large & loud & does $10 meal/drink deal which was a life save... cosa dice la gente » r. Would stay here again whenever in Cairns. - Stayed from 19.2.13 - 26.2.13 in room 417 and had an awesome stay. I went with 3 people from work in Brisbane as a get away. We hardly ended up leaving at all because everything was there. I'll be booking again soon. Very hard to fault! Thanks to all the Gilligan's team.

  Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist strip of Cairns, but within walking distance to the esplanade, shops and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff who recommended some nice tours. Clean premises and well planned layout with plenty of toilets, showers, kitchens and common areas to relax. Considering Cairns's standards, this hostel raises up quite a bit! Friendly but still quiet, and just a 10 minutes stroll to downtown. Great! - I stayed here for one week, the staff are really helpful and friendly, when I arrival cairns, they pick me up from bus station immediately. the kitchen is amazing, you can get any stuff you want. the room is very clean and tidy, the bed and pillow is very soft. I stay here like staying at home. it's the best backpacker I have been to.

  Great location. Friendly staff. - I was upgraded and had a room to myself, it was a clean place, I only spent one night, it was quiet and the staff were helpful. I would stay there again. Located across from the lagoon and close to all amenities, easy to get to from the bus and shuttle to the airport was easy to arrange and cost $10. Good place!

  Excellent and very helpful staff! There was something fun going on every night such as drinking games, reptile shows, cheap bbqs etc. The people and music is quite loud (which is fun, people are happy), but it gets quiet after midnight.
