I cannot fault my stay at Flowerdews Bed & Breakfast. The owners could not have been more accomodating, friendly nor welcoming. The accomodation and facilities were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. What had the potential to be a stressful business trip to Winchester was transformed into a pleasant visit due to my brief stay at Flowerde

Liz was very welcoming, friendly and helped us with directions to where we were going on two occasions. Room was well appointed and Flowerdews is in walking distance of Winchester where we were meeting friends. Breakfast was excellent and other guests were obviously cheerful and happy in their surroundings. A great stay - would repeat this and stay a little longer!

Maggie and Mike were exceptionally welcoming and bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. We were on our way to catch a ferry to Caen which entailed an early start. Maggie arranged a taxi for us and Mike provided us with a beautifully cooked full English Breakfast at 7am. Fantastic hosts!

We were met by the owner and he was very friendly. He took us up to the room and it was bright and airy and had a lovely view of the harbour as promised. We were on a short visit and had to be up early the next day and he agreed to do breakfast half an hour earlier for us. Breakfast was very tasty. We both felt very welcome and very comfortable during our stay. I would definitely go there again. Excellent.

The bedrooms with en-suite were at an exceptionally high standard. Fabulously decorated, very comfortable extra large bed, lovely bedlinen and pillows (usually always a problem). Whilst the hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment, the staff compensate for the inconvenience.

This is a great Hotel. samall enough to be wecolming but with a real touch of quality about the whole place, I have used it twice now to stay on business trips in and around the Romesy / Southampton area. The Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are of an very high specification and the food is good gastropub type fayre. Highly reco

The staff, paticularly the Manageress, were professional and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and well-designed.
letsbookhotel.com hand not passed on our reservation to the hotel, so they weren't expecting us. However, the Manageress handled the situation exceptionally well and gave us an upgraded room as a result.

We liked the location of the hotel. It was always heated nicely. It was a peaceful area. About ten minutes walk from local high street and round the corner from the bus stops to town and Gunwharf quay. The manager was nice enough and knowledgeable. We stayed in a superior room at the top of the house, it was really big and bright and very quiet.
The breakfast is excellent with lots of choice and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The Hotel is very close to the seafront and it is a lovely stroll along the promenade, you can walk all the way to Portsmouth old town, however Southsea centre is close by.

We enjoyed the spa and also found the attention to detail and service by the staff to be of a very high quality. Helpful, welcoming service.
The room was lovely. Clean, good layout, nicely and thoughtfully designed. Quality amenities, from hair dryer to hot drink selection, this hotel is really quite lux, but not over the top!
The restaurant was also lovely, good food, friendly service.

Extremely comfortable and well-appointed room. Bed and bedding were gorgeous quality. Shower room was top quality. Service attentive and personable. Restaurant was buzzing and relaxed- make sure you book! Parking spot great ( again - book ahead.) I knew when I booked that rooms overlooked Red Funnel ferry dock on busy road. All the staff we came into contact with were curteous, friendly and helpful.
The Hotel and rooms were very clean.
Breakfast was good with a reasonable choice of food.
Ample parking.
Handy for Winchester.
Though there were Christmas Parties being held in the hotel function rooms there was no noise intrusion.

Decor light and airy, spaciousness, restaurant excellent, beds very comfy. Breakfast good though a little disjointed in selection, no continuity, eggs ordered separately and delivered to table before we had finished our cereals.Lovely hotel, good parking and peaceful.
