The hotel is in a perfect location - right opposite the Kyoto station. The station itself is an excellent place for shopping and eating. In front of the hotel is the bus station, which has the buses that will take you to all the sights in Kyoto. Basically, the location of the hotel cannot be better.

Excellent American-style service (ie. help with luggage, staff always ready to assist), plus an incredibly good location, VERY close to station! (And also just across from a Post Office, coffee shop and handy 7/11-style convenience store). Room was larger than I'm used to when staying in Japan, and kept very clean. Staff speak some English, and were always helpful. There are food and drink vending machines in the hotel, as well as eateries (though it's cheaper to eat outside of hotel). We were

Perfectly located in the middle of city. Near to restaurants, shopping, walking distance to Gion and temples. By taxi ( because it was very hot and humid in July) we went by taxi to a lot of marvelous sites. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, they speak good english and will
help you find your way around with restaurant recommendations (all
good!) and places to visit and how to get there. Clean place, nice and
friendly atmosphere. The japanese style rooms seem to be bigger if you
have a choice (we booked late, our bad). A very enjoyable stay!

The location of this hotel is perefect for a city tour including sightseeing, shopping, going out in the evening. It is just a 3* hotel however easily can be recognized as 4*. The staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel very much.
