The staff was so friendly and kind! The room was small but clean and adorable and exactly what I was looking for. There is free WiFi, TV, and a kitchen with lots of appliances. -
Well located, good amenities, clean and an overall pleasant experience. Will definitely consider booking there again and would definitely recommend.

The location is very good. Easy to reach from the station. The staff was very helpful for hints and tips on eating places, transportation and places to visit. The value for the price was excellent. The place was quiet. The Japanese style should be appealing for western visitors interested to experience a bit the traditions of Japan. -

Everything on the practical side.
The 'room' was a small flat, spacious with a large wardrobe.
Clean towels, sheets and covers in the closets, a small kitchen, which didn't have any pots and pans, or other kitchen ware, but I borrowed some from the young girl who looks after the rooms.

Bathroom, sink and toilet separated into each their space, but it worked well. -
I just LOVE the bathroom! There's a modern hi-tech bathtub with which you can press a few buttons and have the water ready at the right temperature and at the right level. It can even keep the water warm! The ventilation system and toliet are also amazing.
The hotel is located in a quiet residential area and you can take bus to go to sightseeing places. There are a few temples round the corner and creates a very good atmosphere. There's also a public bath within a 5-minute walk distance. We gav

Everything was great! The room was cozy for the six days Ive stayed in! Icy cold air conditioning! The owner's mother who runs it is absolutely darling! And everything was super clean with wonderful service. I liked the area because although I was a bit far from the train station, once you got your head around it, you can get there easily in 15-20

The hotel is actually quite "self-service" but no worries,
there is a staff that will assist you when you check in. She is really
friendly and helpful. The room was very cozy and comfort, equipped with
microwave, gas stove and a pc. I love the bathroom so much, there's
even a small tv inside the bathroom where you can watch tv while you

tourist information at the station and the staff just recomfirmed us how

My sister and I stay for 8 nights and we loved the place. The staff is extremely helpful and nice (even if they have problems communicating in English), the fact that there is a common place with fridge and that you get tea and water for free and even croissants for breakfast, the cleanliness the rooms and how central the location is. We highly recommend this place for people who want to explore Kyoto and surroundings for a few days.

The hotel staff were pretty friendly and offered great services for us.

Some facilities may need renovation but the ryokan itself is very clean and comfortable. In each of our double rooms there was a shower and additionally every evening it was possible to soak and relax in a hot o-furo (public bath). The ryokan is located in the centre of Kyõto, near Higashiyama or Gion, but in a small street so it isn't noisy at all. The little Japanese-style indoor garden is really cute and so Japanese! ;-) The rooms are also very traditional and just a bit old-fashioned.

although location is far from city, there is direct JR Bus from Kyoto station to the place. take about 40 mins though. fyi for other traveler as if take JR bus from Kyoto station, alight at Takahanacho stop then walk back about 100m then cross the other side of road. will find easily. staf

Owner and staffs are so friendly. I think he waited for our coming after
I confirmed arrival time because while we were walking to find Ryokan
and almost getting lost, he called us from in front of Ryokan. I was so
impressed. I got a big clean room with garden view and not close to the
street so it was quite and peaceful. This room is what I think when stay
in ryokan. Love it.
