Great location, close to Canberra main attractions (Old and New Parliament House; National Gallery; National Library; Lake Burley Griffin). Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious apartment. Quiet and comfortable. Homely feel. Very close to a precinct with good restaurants, bar, supermarket etc. Felt like a place one could stay for two weeks and have a real holiday!

We all loved staying at the Mecure Canberra. I booked several rooms for a family trip for 3 nights. They kindly upgraded our rooms when we arrived. It's where old meets modern. Lovely large room with 2 queen beds in the older part of the hotel (not sure if it was an upgrade). Luckily we had a ground floor room, as there were no lifts. Small but adequate bathroom. The hotel offers good facilities - comfy lounge and bar areas, heaps of parking and helpful staff. The location is excellent with easy access to the city via bus. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and to the War Memorial.

Reception staff - very friendly at each encounter. I was welcomed with unsolicited suggestions and free maps - very nice touch you would normally only see in a small country town.

My wife fell and broke her arm 3 hours after we arrived; I was diagnosed with DVT 3 days later. We had to extend our stay by 3 days as doctopr would not allow me to drive home. Staff was very helpful indeed in finding another room for us for 3 days even though the hotel was heavily booked. Could not speak more highly of the staff. Also good to be able to have dinner brought to our room.

This property is well priced, and quiet, and only about 10 minutes from the northern end of Canberra. The rooms are comfortable and relatively clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We were there when a school group was also staying there, but because of the size of the resort, we didn't hear a peep out of them all night long. Waking up to

Second time at this hotel in as many weeks and booked through
letsbookhotel.com and:
1) Over charged again - refund obtained.
2) Was not offered the room I booked but their most basic one - until I questioned this and they gave me the room booked. Kinda frustrating really - and I am not blaming the staff but the Rydges booking system.

The staff were VERY accommodating and allowed a late checkout at no extra cost. This was very helpful as it saved the hassle of waking up early after a long drive from melbourne. We had a toddler so the extra hour sleep-in was appreciated!
Location was central and close to cafe's etc

Apartment was perfectly clean and appointed well.
All amenities were in good order. Undercover parking was a bonus especially give the weather was chilly.
Receptionist Jenny was very helpful with local knowledge.
That the apartment was serviced daily, even though we only stayed 2 nights, was much appreciated and unexpected.

When leaving the hotel I thought that the accommodation fee had already
been charged to my credit card but was told that it not how letsbookhotel.com
works, which I know is not the case, so I hope I haven't been
charged twice. Also they tried to charge me for drinks in the restaurant
which I hadn't had. -

I had a note on my file that I liked the apartment that we stayed in last time and would prefer it for future bookings. I was kindly rang by a staff member to let me know that room was not available as it was a two bedroom apartment I had booked a one bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean, spacious and the view was spectacular!
We were so close to all the places we wanted to visit Parliment House, The War Memorial and Shopping in the City.
The Staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was a problem.
I would recommend it to anyone looking for top accommodation in the city at a reasonable price.

The staff were exceptional. I had arrived in Canberra around 8am. I called into the Mantra at 10am asking if we could get an early check in. We had booked 2 rooms so I asked if we could be near each other. Not only did we get an early check of 12.30pm but also got a free upgrade with rooms side by side.

We liked this hotel a lot: very nicely furnished and equipped; friendly and helpful staff. We particularly appreciated that the room had crockery and cutlery and a decent table with two chairs, in addition to tea and coffee-making facilities. This made it very comfortable to have breakfast in the room with things we bought from a supermarket the day before. Excellent bathroom, too.

We were contacted to advise they had had a cancellation of a twin room on the high floor (as I had phoned after booking to request this if possible). Reservations most helpful. Our view to the lake was amazing and only 5 mins walk to the Floriade we had come to see. We had sliding doors to a narrow balcony which allowed us to get freshair into the room and further enjoy the city and lake views which also included the Telstra Tower on the far mountain. We loved Canberra. As for the Diplomat, we enjoyed the proximity to Manuka, Kingston and the Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets - the latter two within walking distance for the reasonably fit so we particularly enjoyed walking to them for breakfast in the morning. Everything!!! Beds were comfy the shower pressure and hot water was fantastic. I loved how close it was to airport and the lovely Manuka restaurant area. I will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family as we will be travelling a lot to Canberra as our son is stationed at Duntroon Army Barracks

The apartment had everything you needed. It was close to the airport and
you could'nt hear the planes. The bathroom was very small but very
clean as was the kitchen. It was a very quiet complex. I would return
again and a nice touch with fresh fruit on the table. Beds were
comfortable overall good value for money.

The two bedroom apartment suited our family group of 3 adults and two children with the addition of a single bed. Easy access from the basement garage to the fourth floor to a well appointed and bright apartment - the king beds were divine. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you. -
