The location was perfect, very quiet residential area, whilst only a 5minute walk into central Norwich with all of the facilities that a cityhas to offer. Staff were truly excellent and extremely friendly andhelpul. I travel a lot for work staying in hotels most weeks, if onlythey were all run like this, life would feel much better! My wife and I moved to Norwich from the us. We had to extend our staywhile finding a place to live. The staff was very understanding andcourteous. Great service overall. I also enjoyed the breakfast, but wedid not want to spend the money on it everyday. Overall, fantastic stayat the Beeches. And room service was great and affordable.Its location , we had to bring my son to the University for the first time, and we found the hotel very convieniant for both UEA and the centre of Norwich . We will use this hotel when we visit and also recommend others. Staff were very excellent , breakfast very good and cleanliness of room. Very friendly, helpful staff, happily changed my room for one with bath. Very good location with lovely gardens. Restaurant and cafe owned by the hotel and short walk away both very good and excellent value. Third stay at hotel and will come again.The hotel was set in lovely grounds, next to the great Gothic catholic cathedral. Despite being on a main road, it was quiet. The staff were extremely friendly, without being intrusive, and willing to serve any time of day and night. The staff were very polite and the lady on reception was very welcoming! Our room was lovely and was excellent value for money. The hotel location next to the Roman Catholic church was excellent and we felt safe in the area.Excellent value for money, clean and comfortable room, plenty of car parking space, ideally suited for access to the city centre and also to the university. Would definitely stay again on my next visit to Norwich. The pleasantness and helpfulness of the staff. The ambience and locality of the hotel. The good atmosphere and the Victorian garden. Being able to hear tv/radio from adjacent rooms (one waking me at 6.30am with radio remaining on) but this a problem at any hotel.Everything was wonderful we really enjoyed our stay. For your information, the shower temperature was difficult to control. Two possible explanations: i. something wrong with it. ii. incompetence on my part!. went to cafe 91 for supper - some waiting and kitchen staff sat at table next to me, eating and having loud personal conversations which was slightly uncomfertable, but food was fresh, tasty and arrived quickly. Late booking but would have prefered smoking room. No restuarant. Continental breakfast was a little poor for the cost of £7.30. One croissant on offer only. No toast or toaster. No fruit.Room was quite hot, could do with a fan. curtains and bedspread could do with a revamp, other than that it was spot on. Bath towels a bit too small. mattrasses too hard.
