It features a rooftop garden, free Wi-Fi in public areas and elegant rooms with wooden flooring. It is a 25-minute drive from Tribhuvan International Airport to the hotel. Rooms are simply furnished and equipped with a flat-screen cable TV, air conditioning and a safety deposit box. They have large bathrooms with a shower and 24-hour hot and cold water. The best customer service I've experienced. I've stayed in so many 5 star hotels (Ritz Carlton, Marriott since our family members work for that company), no one can surpass the family oriented treatment of guests. Very personalized. kaikki arvostelut » On the way back to us, i have chose Nepal and i have seen the backyard hotel before i left from Thailand, i have told to the driver at airport to take me to Backyard Hotel, i have found very nice staff and got the family environment during my stay with them, Internet was free even the Wi-Fi. I have not took free transportation from the airport so at the end i got a chance to take that facilities. Thanks for all the Staff as well as Management. Hope fully i will be back on 2012AD.I had very pleasant stay with the Family of Backyard Hotel. Staffs were always trying to help me. I have never found such a nice staff. Hotel was not much fancy like 4-5 star but has comfortable beds and nice atmosphere. The most essential part of this hotel is centrally located. Please just try to stay a night at least with Backyard Family. . Excellent location, in the middle of Thamel but a little tucked away - so relatively quiet. Durga, the owner and the staff (Sunil, Chandan, Madhu ...) were very friendly and helpful. If you have problems with stairs, then try to book rooms in the lower floors. Very friendly and nice property centrally located right of the Thamel shopping street but tucked behind so super quite. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The constant power cuts and generator on only works for lights and not for ac or tv, etc... - The staff were overly inquisitive - but better that they're friendly than to completely ignore you - When you shower, the toilet gets wet. Bathroom was quite damp and dirty. Television did not work. Dirty out front of hotel. Shutter door down after 10pm and no door in. Very expensive. When we arrived to Kathmandu we found out that for 10 USD we could have received the same conditions. Bad breakfast.
