The staff in the hotel were very friendly, and it is 'one stop shop' to organise for everything in Kathmandu. Dipendra (Dip) is the hotel manager who is a 'goto' man. When we arrived at the hotel,we did not have any plans. Dip organised the entire trip which include car for 6 days with driver, 2 nights 3 days package in Chitwan, 2 days in Pokara, 2 days in Kathmandu. He was also flexible to change our plan to do white water rafting in Trisul river, the rafting was excellent as they had experie.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and looked after us well, booking flight tickets, mountain guides, helping with restaurant recommendations and anything we needed. The hotel manager Dipendra is a key to making your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Rooms are comfortable and equipped with everything you need. To book your activities you should refer to Budget Adventure Tracks . loved everything about this place! they offer free airport pickup so thats a life saver after a long flight. the staff was ever ready and eager to help us out with even small issues and went out of their way to make our stay more comfortable. Deep and his team definitely know the key to keeping a guest happy and satisfied and do a great job at it! Trekker's home is located right in the heart of thamel within walking distance of all major needs (money exchange, trekking gear, souvenir shops, eat. The hostel owner, Dip, is absolutely the best! He sits down with guests one-on-one to discuss what you want to do during your time, and then can to help facilitate everything. He helped us exchange money (at an amazing rate), he booked us a car to take us siteseeing (at a fantastic price), etc. - always with a smile and a cup of tea :-) The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable - superb value. The location is perfect - right in the middle of Thamel district full of restaurants, shopping, ba. Trekkers Home is a great place to stay when visiting Kathmandu. Especially the staff is very helpful at Trekkers Home; you get a warm welcome every time you walk in. Dip (the manager) arranged a great trip for us via the integrated trekking office (Budget Adventure Treks & Expedition) to the Annapurna range. Meanwhile he also helped out with our Chinese Visa. You can always ask them anything. Also, internet is really fast, even in your room. Bottom line: great value, great location, great h. The hotel is in a touristy location. staff are amazing and helpful- the rooms are comfy and with hot water. we were treated like a family by Dip and Rajesh-the managers.they helped us organised our travel itineraries at an affordable cost.overall, it is a home in Kathmandu- the staff treat you well like their own family guest so that's the most important nice thing about trekkers home. The staff was great - friendly and helpful although their directions were often off, but I think that is a problem with Kathmandu! Restaurant was fine and comfortable and my room was simple and what I expected. If you go looking for luxury this is not the place, but for a bed, shower, lights, and nice staff plus very reasonable rate, you can't go wrong. I would come again!. The staff was very very helpful, friendly and nice. They've let me use their laptop one night, free of charge, when the internet cafe in the lobby had already closed. The wifi in my room was excellent. The location is good, southern end of Thamel. The Weizen bakery downstairs has a 50% discount after 8 PM. Very good value for money; welcoming staff. good beds, near great restaurants, shops and bars.Excellent travel advice from Diprenda, a genuinely friendly and helpful hotel manager. And, the lights and hot water work when there's a power cut and you can safely leave a bag here while away trekking!. we don't have well prepared plan for the trip to Nepal, we checked from booking, and found this hotel have good review, it is convenient place in Thamel area, room is good, and the manager plan us very convenient and nice trip which make us feel very satisfied. the hotel is highly recommended. Right in Thamel, good value for money, the rooms are ok. Make sure you get non smoking room with no carpet! As well do not get the rooms towards the main street. I wish they included breakfast buffet in our rate otherwise there is nothing to dislike. Nothing. Some noise from the street. At first we got really smelly room with three single beds, then we asked for another room that was much better. Rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy. Some noise from street. room is a little bit old. the hot water is not very well. Nothing. Whilst sheets were clean, duvet at first was not. Over 5 nights only had one truly hot shower (at 4.30am). Some of the rooms are much better than others. We stayed in 3 different rooms, one was very nice with a balcony, one was ok, and one was not good. Advice would be to look at the room before you agree to stay. Quite old, room on 4th floor. Noisy. Bed was basically plywood with sheets on top. Sheets had what looked to be blood stains. Shower did not work. No emergency light in bathroom so you have to go in darkness when the power is out which is frequently. For the money it was not worth 1/4 of what we paid. Switched to a new hotel after one night and so happy we did. I thought that the hotel was paid before I left Australia - hotel asked me to pay. Could you confirm that this is the way it should work. No Airport pickup in spite of confirmation. Hotel Staff was clueless in spite of our booking. They had to search for a room in spite of having a booking confirmation. The hotel room was not clean. The hotel toilets were very dirty. The power outage was frequent. One of the rooms had no phone. The bed sheets and pillows were dirty. The toilet doors did not close properly. dirt,in the bathroom constantly flowing water,noise.
