  The room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The muffins, fruit, juice and coffee in the morning were delicious. The pool and hot tub was relaxing and enjoyable. The snack upon arrival was a nice touch. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay there and even stayed an extra day.   Enjoyed the facility itself, but the staff made our stay more pleasurable. The location was within walking distance to almost all of Newport. I will go again. - I love that the hotel is unique and desn't feel like any chain hotel. I also love the history of the hotel and that it has been open since 1929.

  I was truly pleased with this particular location. We are a middle aged couple who just decided to take off midweek for a quick trip to the cape/Newport etc. Staff was so friendly, helpful and courteous. King Suites with ability to close off your bedroom, frig, sinks, micros washers and dryers what more could yo - Upon arrival the concierge paid attention to our personal trip plans and upgraded our 2 queen room to a king room with full 2 person jacuzzi for the same price - it totally changed the whole trip for us - we hardly ever left the room!! We were within 2 minutes walking distance to some of the best food in newport - and the beach was right across the street
