I was there as part of a book tour in the region, with my wife, and our ten year old black lab. The place was perfect for us, close to downtown, easy to get out of the city. Friendly staff, very helpful. Whirlpool and pool pleasant. Microwave and fridge were essential for a five night stay. -

The reviews were very accurate! When I booked the room, I kept thinking
"what's the catch?" But there wasn't one! This is a
great hotel with wonderful amenities. Nice sized, very clean rooms,

Very spacious room 222. Were traveling with older and younger grandchildren. Did not do much at the motel except breakfast, which was good.
As to questions 5 and 6, we were on our way north. Escanaba was not our destination so we don't have an opinion. -

The staff was excellent and responsive to all my questions. They were friendly and went out of their way to help. (example: I told them the openings in the electrical outlet were too wide and my curling iron plug kept falling out. THE NEXT DAY, a new electrical outlet was installed!! I never expected that)
