Our room was wonderful, with very, very comfortable beds. The location so close to downtown was a huge plus, with us not needing to take our car out at all. Breakfast was wonderful (did eat by the fireplace) and every staff person was so accommodating and friendly. We needed the Customer Service as we had left something in the room.   I really like how friendly and helpful the staff is. Fast check in, indeed they have my room key ready when I got to the hotel, almost like just waiting for me. Room is big and comfortable. - The proximity to the Portland Airport, which is the reason we chose this location. The room was also very clean.

My fiance tried purchasing movies in rm 105, and for some reason it would not allow us to, so in order to make up for it, they gave us breakfast vouchers. There is also a theater room (great for watching football games), multiple lounges, and an incredible reading nook on the third floor. The nightly rate might appear expensive, but this is actually a good value. - Superb accommodations and a lovely edifice!

  I was in Maine for a service for my dad who'd passed away. The sound of the waves crashing rhythmically on the shore was very soothing for me. I appreciate that the Anchorage is open year 'round and has someone at the desk 24-7 even in winter. Also that your off-season rates are reasonable. Thank you!
