  Well, if you have to point the exact center and downtown of Providence, ri, you would have to put the pin on The Biltmore... This is like an icon of the city and one of those old-school American hotels. The location itself is unbeatable and it looks over the 'central park' of Providence; Kennedy Plaza. The front desk upgraded me to a larger room with morning sun. The bed was very comfortable, firm with a mountain of soft pillows. Good, fast (and complimentary) wireless. Fitness room was empty at 5:30 a.m. easily accessible and with towels and bottled water.

  The property is a traditional New England manor house over 3 floors. It is furnished throughout with antique furniture with 4 poster beds in all rooms. The house oozes character. Breakfast is made to order and was lovely with the Innkeepers wife baking fresh muffins ready and still warm.
