The fact the it was family run and own. The owners were very attentive to their guests needs. The other guests seem like the have been coming back for years. Very charming. -

I loved being able to bring our dogs. I loved being able to walk straight from the car to the room. I loved the easy access to expressway and quaint Vermont town. I liked the friendly staff, natural setting, down-to-earth feel, and the price was a huge draw. Perfect for our road trip to catch a day of exquisite skiing before the season's end. -

The Motel’s restaurant Nippers Café served great food. We enjoyed our stay at the Stamford Motel and viewing the beautiful Vermont fall foliage.

Great location, close to restaurants, shopping, and Bromley and Stratton mountains. Quiet rooms with comfortable beds. Convenient parking near rooms. Staff is friendly and very accommodative to guest needs. -
Clean bathrooms loved the sink was not so low. Many safety features.
We stayed 5 nights, beds made fresh and rooms cleaned daily.

We had just come from two "luxury" nights at the Woodstock Inn (a gift). Our room at the Toll Road was bigger, better furnished, more room amenities, fantastic view of woods, stream, and animals in pasture. He spent the entire trip going to the river at the back of the hotel to the pool.
It was delightful.
The grounds are lovely.
The place, although old, is exceptionally clean and cared for.
It's close to town and if you don't want to go to town there are several restaurants within walking distance.
I loved our stay and would go back in a second.
