Okay - this isn't the Ritz, but in the two times I have stayed there, my room was clean and the bed comfortable. The price is right! Though is is right off I45, the rooms are very quiet.
It is an older place and maybe there are a few things that need repair, but the essentials are fine.

The hotel was within walking distance to the Minute Maid Stadium, there was a beautiful park next to it and the rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel was clean and the staff at the front desk were friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room was fairly small, but nice. The hotel was comfortable and secure and was very close to the Toyota Center and Convention Center. It was within walking distance of several nice restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice value for the money, considering the prime location. If you are tired of the big convention hotels, this is a nice, quiet alternative.
