  We stayed at the Hare & Hounds for three nights and had a wonderful time there. We booked the standard room which although small was very cosy, well equipped and had a great en-suite ( really good size with a very powerful shower). The Hare & Hounds is in a lovely peaceful rural location, serves delicious food in it's very popular,bar/rest... lo que la gente dice » aurant (we ate there every night).and is owned and managed by Kerry and assisted by her parents and staff all of whom were always helpful, friendly an - Beautiful rooms that you wanted to spend time in. Lovely old bar that serves excellent food from a great menu. No need to use your car at all if you want peace,views, walks and good food and drink. Kerry is an excellent host - nothing's too much trouble.

  El entorno, el personal, ... Todo. Mucho mejor de lo pensábamos. Ademas, el dueño nos hizo varias rutas a las convencionales en lakeland, y esta parte de los lagos resulto mucho mas bonita y menos masificada de turistas. Otra cosa, pedid cordero. The breakfast is all fresh and local; no problem catering for my mother's gluten-free diet. - The rooms, the food, the atmosphere, and the service were all great! Staying there was like visiting family that has a great chef.

  Angela and Steve are lovely people, the rooms spotless and the breakfast perfectly cooked with enough to keep hikers going all day. The location is perfect for peace and quiet but close enough to Penrith and the North lakes. - Comfy quiet room with fabulous breakfast and welcoming hosts.
