  The owners were both extremely helpful and friendly. We were contacted by phone a week before arrival to confirm that our requests for our Ruby Anniversary weekend had been met. The hotel location is superb and is quiet, but only 5 minutes from main roads leading to Silverdale, the Lakes and t - Warm welcome from the staff and landlord. Bar staff, waiters seemed part of a warm team enjoying their jobs. The pub/hotel is pet friendly. We had our medium sized, well-behaved dog in the bedroom, and in breakfast with us one day. The waiter helped with a bowl for leftovers/water. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the tidal Kent estuary. Good walks nearby, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve, regular train service to local stations north and south.

  Very clean and recently refurbished. Staff veryt friendly and helpful. We stayed for 2 days and had our Dinner in the hotel on both days. (there is no where else to eat in the immdiate vicinity. Will recommend this one to anyone wanting a break without th - Lovely country inn with a very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The public areas have a local, historic feel e.g. the downstairs bar still has the old stalls from horse drawn days; charming. The staff are friendly and efficient, the bar has a great selection of local beers and ales and the food is superb. Our room, while small, was extremely well appointed and comfortable, excellent en suite facilities with a super powerful shower, bliss. My wife and I had a wonderful time and will definitely go a

  We stayed at the Hare & Hounds for three nights and had a wonderful time there. We booked the standard room which although small was very cosy, well equipped and had a great en-suite ( really good size with a very powerful shower).   Check in was quick and we were shown our room and its features explained. Room was at back of hotel but spotlessly clean and comfortable. Decor was modern and my girlfriend impressed with Sanderson wallpaper, curtains etc. Water in shower was hot (a bath would have been nice to relax in after a days walk, but you can't have everything). Breakfast was again good with a plentiful choice of starters and mains. - we had a great time.The hotel owner was very knowledgeable of the area and advised some good places to visit.All staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.The accomadation and breakfast were fantastic coupled with a great location,5 mins walk to town and 5 min walk to waterhead.The hotel was spotless throughout.We had such a great time we booked our parents in for a short break for their anniversary.whilst there and we would definatley stay again.

  I highly recommend this place. Friendly staff, wonderful choice and quality of breakfasts. The owner, told me he used to own a fish restaurant so that's obviously why the fish dishes are so perfect. Modern, bright up to date bedroom with a fabulous power shower. Safe and easy walk to both Windermere and Bowness. Food was unbelievable. Huge choice and excellent quality. Dining room is modern and there was a good atmosphere at breakfast time. Staff were efficient and friendly. Our budget room was clean and cofortable. Perfect for our stay. Limited parking on the premises but lots of free and unrestricted parkining across the road.

Everyone made us feel so welcome as though we had been go - As a cycling group, several of us arrived late but they kept the kitchen open late to feed us which really was appreciated.   10 minutes walk from bus station, not very far from the village center. It is pretty close to some good routes for walking, hiking and cycling. The staff there are very nice and very kind. The rooms including bedrooms bathrooms, kitchen, etc., are all very clean and comfortable.   What a wonderful place you fell in love with the ambience of it the minute you walked in the door, the wonderful welcome by the host Mick with his sunny personality made you feel welcome the room we had was just completed., and it had all what we needed. Recommend it to anyone who just wants a nice comfortable atmosphere and in no need of - Mick was so hospitable and very friendly, I felt really welcome and didn't want to leave, it was a real 'home from home' so cosy and comfortable. The food is amazing and there's an extensive menu. Nothing is too much trouble and you are really well looked after. Great rooms with lovely views, very spacious and a fab shower plus loads of parking. A great place to stay whatever the season and whatever the weather! Loved it!

  After reading some negative reviews about this hotel I was really not expecting much at all. How wrong I was. My two children (age 4 & 8) and I stayed for 1 night. The staff were friendly,helpful and lovely with my children. The food was delicious.   Bridleway is an excellent location from which to explore the Lake District National Park. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable and our hosts could not be more helpful.   Very efficient and friendly staff, our stay was very comfortable with all the facilities we needed.
