This was a perfect break. The staff are such a friendly team and really go out of their way to make guests feel welcomed. The views out over the fells make you feel relaxed in the first 5 minutes. A tramp in the sun, a swim, a spell in the hot tub outside and then a good meal - what else could you want for your holiday? -

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was clean and spacious and the food was of very good quality. The all you can eat breakfast was suberb. A lovely setting overlooking the river. The Riverside is probably one of the nicest hotels i have stayed in in a long time, and certainly for the price. Excellent leisure facilities, excellent bar, staff were fabulous, rooms were clean and well stocked with anything you might need. I was on a work trip, but i'm seriously going back for another stay with the woman i love. Maybe even the wife.

The hotel is superbly located by the lake with long vistas across the water. The three rooms taken by our party were excellent, beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable and spacious. The reception areas, lounges and card room were likewise spacious and well-furnished. Real fires in the early Autumn give a special welcome. The staff were anxious to please and very pleasant at all times.The meals were very good with quality ingredients.

We stayed in the new Silver Suite - it was extremely comfortable with a most beautiful view across the water.
Needless to say, but the food was magnificently presented and absolutely delicious.

Beautiful period house and garden located in quiet country lane with glorious walks into the hills directly behind. Walk below into the quaint village of Bowness. We loved having the excellent breakfasts and heading straight out behind the house for hill walks with tremendous views over Windermere. Extremely comfortable, clean room and all necessary facilities. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Would happily stay again and definitely recommend.

We were contacted by phone a week before arrival to confirm that our requests for our Ruby Anniversary weekend had been met. Our room was just as the owner described and had views to die for.

Warm welcome from the staff and landlord. Bar staff, waiters seemed part of a warm team enjoying their jobs. The pub/hotel is pet friendly. We had our medium sized, well-behaved dog in the bedroom, and in breakfast with us one day. The waiter helped with a bowl for leftovers/water. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the tidal Kent estuary. Good walks nearby, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve, regular train service to local stations north and south.

The Wateredge Inn is in a wonderful location right on the lake. The
views out to the boats bobbing on the lake were lovely. The room was
nicely decorated and comfortable as was the bathroom. The inns lounge
and dining areas were very nice, with again a beautiful outlook. The two
Scottish sisters who waited on us for breakfast were lovely and friendly
as was Ryan the bar man. The countryside around Ambleside was really
beautiful and well worth a longer visit.

Excellent. The Staff were helpful and pleasant at all times. The Hotel was spotlessly clean, our room light and airy. - Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Friendly staff and a lovely room with a fantastic view. No complaints!

Steve and Vicky are very hospitable owners and personaly very nice people. One can feel they put their hert into this their work. They helped us a lot long before our travel by answering our questions (best choice of the Lakes tour, walking paths, arrival to WIndermere etc.)

Ideally located between Bowness and Windermere. 10-15 minutes stroll either way. Steve and Vicky are the friendliest B n B people that we have met (stayed in over 12 other B n Bs). Invergarry is such a welcoming place. The bed was really comfortable. We stayed in a small double but this was a reasonable size for a couple of nights and didn't feel small. Breakfast was delicious - homemade muesli, jam and marmalade. Best breakfast that we have had in a B N B. Really lovely touches in the rooms -

I stayed here by myself for 2 nights. I had a standard single room, which was just what I need with plenty of space too. The beds were comfy, tea and coffee making facilities and some delicious homemade shortbread provided too. I felt very welcome from the minute I stepped through the door, especially as it was the first time I'd stayed away on my own. Warm and comfortable with everything we could want. Stayed in Silverdale which was large with a gorgeous bathroom and comfortable bed. this was our first visit to the lamplighter we were very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff we arrived with our 2 cavalier dogs who were made a big fuss of we also were asked if we wanted to eat in a separate room so the dogs could be with us which we declined as they are more than happy to stay in their sleeping crate .the breakfas

The innkeepers were charming! The hotels rooms newly decorated and the
kingsize beds very comfortable with lovely pillows. The breakfast was
also particularly delicious, with fresh juices, Greek yogurt with berry
compote for example. They accommodated well for special vegetarian
requests, even going out for veggie sausage for us for our second
day's breakfast. Well done and thank you for a fantastic stay! Mr
