We were welcomed with a traditional South African braii - barbecue! How much better can you get to meet everyone and get comfortable with the Cape Town groove?! We loved the staff - from the owner to the housekeepers - they really took good care of us while allowing us to still enjoy the "backpacker-style" of lodging. Excellent value-for-money, decent rooms and shared bathrooms are very clean. The staff is extremely nice and will help you with any questions you might have. Breakfast is extra, but good quality. The owner made sure to be very personal and made my stay very pleasurable.

Conifer Cape Guesthouse was excellent in every aspect! John went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and having the best time possible at CT (thank you again!). Breakfast was amazing, and the staff members were delightful. The family room was quite roomy and very comfortable. It was my second time at this hostel and I came back three years later because I liked it. Apart from it being excellent for what is officially a backpackers place I really appreciate the attitude of owners and staff who are supporting community projects and take recycling seriously, something that is still not very wide spread in South Africa. Excellent Sandwiches and breakfast.

Everything. From the time we checked until we left we were impressed with the courtesy of the staff, the cleanliness and comfort of our room, and the food in the restaurant. The overall hotel premises are well maintained, and we would definitely recommend it.
When Hilton take over in April 2013, we hope that they will continue to keep up the high standards of the present management.

Not an ultramodern hotel but rather a well maintained hotel with a more
genteel feel. The rooms were nicely sized, comfortable bed and kept
spotless by the staff. The rooms were well soundproofed so you had no
extraneous noise from other rooms. The restaurant was pleasant and the

part of town next to the parliament buildings but only a 10 minute
strol -
Staff eager to help us as we arrived early were leaving late and had to leave luggage at hotel. We were upgraded to double rooms with views of Table Top. A cheap taxi ride or walk from all the major city sites. Excellent breakfast included. Rooms spacious with all facilities. Compared with our hotel in Rio on the same trip and for the same price Townhouse was streets ahead. Can't wait to go back to Cape Town and when I do there's only one place I'll be staying - The Townhouse.
