me gluten free food etc.This was definitely a place we will come back to for a longer stay next time we're in South Africa so we can explore the area - We were looked after by James and Pat who were both very friendly and helpful. On arrival we were given an upgraded room which was very clean and tidy with a very large bed! The house was very interesting with an old colonial feel. It is in a secluded spot, very peaceful but within easy walking distance to the town which is very beautiful. We only stayed 1 night but could easily have stayed longer. The setting is luxurious and nothing is too much trouble, we were helped and given information on where to go that suited our tastes and was not jut repetitive tourist blurb. morning without my having to ask. If I could give this place 20 out of 10, I would. Far exceeded expectations. - We loved this impeccable 2 years old guest house in this lovely and historic town. It offers excellent value and is beautifully appointed by the owners Clive and Jeanne Garlick. Breakfast was delicious. The ten minute walk from the main street was a great way to work off the lovely food available in Franschhoek's restaurants and it also meant that it was really peaceful away from the through traffic.
